Cordi Woodworks has a long history in the woodworking business. Chris Cordi is the grandson of Giuseppe Cordi, a builder and cabinet maker who immigrated from Italy in 1905 and established himself in Brooklyn, New York. Chris always admired his grandfather's craft, and while in college, worked construction jobs during summers and holidays. After his service Vietnam, Chris married Kay, and became a construction superintendant building apartment complexes in Dallas, Tampa, Tucson, and Colorado Springs. In 1972, Chris began building homes in Colorado and framing homes throughout the U.S. for CAPP Homes. In 1974, Chris, Kay, and their two sons, Joe and Jason, moved to Texas. Chris established himself as Chris Cordi Builder, and built numerous beautiful homes in Georgetown, TX. By 1992, Chris focused solely on furniture grade cabinetry and fine woodworking. In 2001, Chris Cordi Builder was renamed Cordi Woodworks when Joe, his oldest son, moved back to join the family business. The Cordis built an authentic craftsman style bungalow in 2001 for Joe and his wife Debbie. The home is filled with woodwork that exemplifies both Chris and Joe's passion for woodworking. In 2007, Cordi Woodworks moved their shop from downtown Georgetown to 651 County Road 207 in Liberty Hill,TX. Cordi Woodworks focuses on high end cabinetry and offers a range of specialty works including laminated cabinetry and custom made signs.
